Recap: St. Louis Fashion Week!

Happy Monday!

I had such a good time blogging for St. Louis Fashion Week! I got to meet lots of fab people, see the hottest trends for the Fall, party VIP style and get "behind the scenes" exclusives. The purpose of St. Louis Fashion Week was not only to show "what's in" for Fall, but to support 3 local charities... Haven House St. Louis, St. Louis Children's Hospital and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center with 100% of the proceeds from each night of the runway shows held at Plaza Frontenac, St. Louis Galleria and Macy's at St. Louis Galleria. This year's sponsors included Brown Shoe Company, Effen Vodka, Bud Light Platinum, Monster Energy, Chevy, Macy's and more.

Take a look at what all went down from the shows I attended!!

Tuesday Night: Project Design!

Project Design was held at the St. Louis Science Center and paid homage to some of the hottest up and coming designers. Aspiring hopefuls had the opportunity to submit their designs as part of the initial contest and fans had the opportunity to vote for their favorites. The 6 finalists with the most votes had the opportunity of a lifetime to tour the Chevy GM Design Center in Detroit to serve as inspiration for a complete look that was shown on the runway. The 6 finalist showed their lines on the runway for a chance at the grand prize: their collection featured at the finale event of Fashion Week, editorial feature in Alive Magazine, consultation and development to showcase their line by 963Collective, $400 gift card to, a tablet and gift certificate to help launch their line from and other cool prizes. This year’s Grand Prize Winner was Lauren Bander and the People's Choice Winner was Elise Lammert.

Thursday Night: Fall in Fashion at St. Louis Galleria

The St. Louis Galleria was definitely the place to be as the mall's hallway was transformed to the hottest runway shoppers had ever seen! The show included fashions from the mall's top shops; Tommy Bahama, Urban Outfitters, Apricot Lane, Lucky Brand Jeans, GAP, Francesca's Collections, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Chico's, NY&CO, Eddie Bauer and the Limited. The show was definitely a hit and the models strutted the runway with some looks that I will definitely be putting in my closet!

Friday Night: Indulge at Plaza Frontenac

St. Louis' most elite came out to view Fall Fashions from select luxury brands at Plaza Frontenac that included Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, BCBGMaxAzria, Eileen Fisher, Juicy Couture, White House Black Market, Talbots and more. The show brought the same luxury to the runway as it does to its endless selection of high end shopping choices.

Saturday Night: Liquid Style presented by Alive Magazine

My Favorite show of the week had to be this one because it reminded you of going to the most amazing party of the year and just being with all of the people you enjoy hanging with the most. The show was held at the trendy downtown apartments of Pointe 400 with the pre-party taking place on their outdoor rooftop terrace with an amazing view of the arch. The show celebrated St. Louis' best boutiques; Cha, Devil City, Esther, Ivy Hill, Sole & Blues and the Eye Bar. The show also included fashions from the Project:Design! Winner, Lauren Bander and special guest hip hop dancers!
