Stylish cheats I'll be using for my summer wardrobe

So...you want to look chic every day, but you don’t have the time and money to consistently update your wardrobe? This is a problem that many busy, independent women face. The rich and famous get around this issue by hiring assistants and personal stylists. But do the rest of us do? We cheat! Yes, we use many sneaky ways to look fantastic within our budget, and fast!

Summer is nearly here, and I’m sure you fashionistas have started drooling over many beautiful outfits in stores and online. Here are some of the cheats I will be using to create a stylish summer wardrobe. I hope you find them helpful!

RE-USE YOUR SUMMER STAPLES

Yes, there are plenty of new summer trends that we are all desperate to indulge in, but that doesn’t mean we have to invest in an entire new wardrobe for the new season! You probably have a number of summer wardrobe staples that unless they are way past it, you can use again this year.

Such garments include denim shorts, plain t-shirts and vest tops. They may just need a bit of freshening up in the washing machine and an iron to make them look as good as new. And even items that aren’t considered summer “staples”,  for example, maxi dresses, are just as stylish as they were last year.

INVEST IN ACCESSORIES

Getting a new summer wardrobe costs time and money. However, if you reduce your shopping list so that it includes mostly accessories, you can still achieve a stylish look for less. I think accessories make an outfit. They can turn a simple ensemble into something really fab! Some of the biggest summer accessory trends for this year include statement cuffs, aviators and 70s style floppy hats. Floral totes and downsized purses are also in style, and if you are particularly thrifty you may be able to find these handbags on sale online. Use your trendy accessories to dress up your summer wardrobe staples.

CONCENTRATE ON SHOES

Shoes aren’t exactly the most affordable part of your wardrobe but if you find a great deal on a stunning pair or two, they can work like magic on your wardrobe. Imagine a plain white summer dress with a pair of eye-popping heels. Yes, it’s simple, but sometimes those outfits are the most stylish. With so many online stores, it’s much easier to find items that are within your budget. So use your lunch break and down time after work to scour the web for a few pairs of beautiful summer footwear that can spruce up your summer wardrobe.

GO THRIFT SHOPPING

Not only can you find beautiful and unique items in second-hand shops, but shopping in these stores is also kind to your purse. Go in there with an open mind as you are unlikely to find what you are looking for if you have a strict agenda. Most of all, have fun trying different things on and experimenting with new styles, colours and patterns.

I hope that these cheats help you to create a stylish summer wardrobe like they have helped me! Have fun!
