Tips For Growing Your Hair

Have you ever gotten your hair cut short, only to instantly regret it? Or even if you initially loved it at first, you might have gotten tired of it eventually, and wished you could have your long hair back. Growing out your hair can be a long and tedious process, especially if your hair is prone to breakage. If you are in the process of trying to grow out your hair, here are a few tips you can try to speed up the process:

 Take Supplements

I’m not suggesting that hair supplements can magically make your hair grow longer faster. The truth is that if you have at least a somewhat balanced diet, your body should already have enough of the nutrients needed to strengthen your hair as it grows. However, if you have a very poor diet or you think you might be vitamin deficient, taking supplements could help balance your nutrition, and as a side effect, could also help strengthen your hair so it grows more healthily.

Before taking anything, be sure to consult your doctor or an experienced and knowledgeable health professional. You need to make sure you’re taking the right amount and type of vitamins, otherwise you could be wasting your money at best, or risk harming your health at worst.

 Trim Your Hair Regularly

To be clear, cutting your hair won’t make your hair grow faster. But trimming it regularly ensures that your hair won’t develop frayed or split ends that could cause your hair to break further up the strand. When growing your hair, it’s advisable to have it trimmed once every 10 to 12 weeks to stop split ends in their tracks.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to proper hair care and maintenance. You can’t make your hair grow longer overnight, and there are really no quick miracle fixes that can speed up the process significantly, but it is important to keep your hair as healthy as possible while it’s growing, so as to prevent damage and breakage, both of which can stunt your hair’s growth.

  Protective Styling

Let’s start with the most obvious trick. If you want instant length—maybe for an upcoming special event or occasion—hair extensions can help you out in a pinch. When shopping for hair extensions, it’s important to choose those made from real hair, so they look, feel and move just like your natural hair. Obviously fake hair can look cheap and ruin your overall look. For high quality hair extensions that won’t break the bank, check out the Kinky Curyl or Brazilian straight bundles by True Glory Hair.

True Glory Hair extensions are made from premium quality virgin hair, so they have a completely natural look and soft feel. They also offer plenty of bounce and shine. They are well made and durable, and can withstand regular styling. With proper care and maintenance, they should last you a few years, making them a great investment for anyone who likes to frequently change their look. Another popular product are the Brazilian body wave bundles. These are great for anyone who wants instant volume and body, in addition to length.

Speed Up Your Morning Beauty Routine With These Tips

We know it’s a bit of a modern-day problem, but no matter how early we set the alarm on and drag ourselves out of bed, we’re always, always pushed for time in the morning as we desperately try to get ourselves looking like a million bucks. Perfection takes time. We all know that. Unfortunately, very few bosses will accept this as a legitimate excuse when you show up late, their eyes performing a slow roll as you strut through the office doors feeling fantastic.

It’s a problem we girls have to face six-times a week, sometimes more. So, in an attempt to help you speed up your morning beauty routine, I’ve pulled together some amazing tips and tricks to get you out the door a little faster and still looking drop dead gorgeous. Now that’s the dream, right there.

1. Hands-On Haircut

Nothing takes more time to perfect than our hair. It doesn’t matter what you are hoping to do it, nothing eats up the minutes like a quick hairstyling session in the morning. That’s why you should invest in a haircut that is a dream to manage and simple to upkeep. You want something that’s simple, fast, easy to repeat each day and still wow; something like a ponytail, or a bun or simple part; something both professional and pretty.

2. Indulge Your Hairs Needs

Like a fingerprint, everyone’s hair is different and that means they all respond to different products and maintenance. Finding what’s right for you is no easy feat, but it’s so worth going on the hunt to find your hair’s dream routine. Try out different products for different hair textures, (like biracial hair products), wrap your curls in a microfiber towel after washing, try using dry shampoo before you go to bed, dabble in nighttime braids, or rock rollers while asleep. Once you’ve found the perfect routine, rock it every day and you’ll find you save yourself so much time.

3. Multitasking Skin Products

We love nothing more than seeing the benefits of serums and toners do their thang each morning, but when you’re pushed for time it makes so much more sense to use moisturizers and cleansers that double-up to help you shave a minute or twelve when in a rush. The trick is looking for a moisturizer that boasts the same ingredients as your serums, such as a moisturizer with lots of vitamin C and hyaluronic acid.

4. Use Skin & Hair Products

One of our favorite time-saving hacks is to use a vitamin D elixir on my skin and then run it through my hair too. Not only does this stuff brighten up my face and firm my skin, but it also thickens hair and leaves it looking silky smooth. But here’s the best bit: vitamin D is actually a happy hormone and nothing looks sexier than happiness.

5. All-In-One Make-Up

One of the most wow-factor looks you can rock is the “no makeup” makeup look, which is so enviable when you pull it off. Well, to perfect this, try using an all-in-one product like a CC cream or even a slightly tinted moisturizer. Then, once you’ve gently rubbed it in, drag a bit of bronzer across your cheekbones and eye creases, add a dollop of mascara and, voila, you're done.
