I always think about how I can keep myself looking young for as long as possible because Angela Bassett, Kris Jenner and Jada Pinkett Smith are killing it right now. You hear about so many different methods people use for anti-aging from cremes to skin treatments that I wanted to get together the ones that I think works best and guess what? They're those good ole faithful methods your should already be doing.
Look after your skin
Our skin is really delicate. It is one of the first signs of outward aging and if we don’t look after it we could prematurely age ourselves. Choosing the right skin care methods is really important. There are many creams on the market all offering similar results. However, finding one to meet your specific skin needs is crucial. Speaking with a dermatologist or experienced esthetician could point you in the right direction!
Drink lots of water
Making sure you stay hydrated is so important. Drinking water helps to flush all the toxins out of your body and keep it running like clockwork. Water also helps your kidney to function properly so it can take care of your organs. Skin is of course your largest organ, so when you are fully hydrated your skin stays soft and supple honey.
Eat the right foods
How we look on the outside is of course a more obvious way of spotting aging, but how often do you think about your insides? Stuffing our bodies with valueless food does nothing for us. There are so many foods which help our skin to stay bright and young as well as our insides working correctly. Not only do they help you look young, but they also help with your health too. Things like fish, nuts and green veggies keep your mind sharp too.
Get enough sleep
So many of us sacrifice a good night’s sleep for pointless tasks.... you know how you to- social media surfing, late night tv shows, etc. How many times have you stayed up to watch television only to feel terrible the next morning. Make sure you take the time to get as much sleep as you need. Without it, the next day you will find yourself finding it difficult to concentrate and do things as well. On top of this, sleep also helps us to look younger. Whilst we sleep our body’s production of Human Growth Hormone is at its highest. This is what keeps us looking younger. Without this hormone you will find yourself looking tired and older. Therefore, make sure you are getting enough shut-eye to let your body produce this miracle hormone.
Keeping fit and active
We all have different commitments which sometimes means we don’t feel like exercising. However, if you can take time out of you day to make sure you go to the gym, you will be a lot better off. Not only does it strip fat but it also keeps you mobile and limber. In fact, it is even said that regular exercise can help to reverse the aging process. That sounds like a theory I could get on board with.
